Aaron Arthur Hoegh

January 30, 1976 — June 20, 2015

Aaron Arthur Hoegh, the son of Glen Vernon and Janette Marie (Hanson), was born January 30, 1976, in Harlan, Iowa and died June 20, 2015, from injuries received in a mower accident in Kimballton, Iowa at the age of 39 years, 4 months, and 20 days.
Aaron attended the Elk Horn Community Schools graduating with the High School Class of 1995. Aaron learned how to operate heavy equipment at a young age and continued in that line of work.
On August 2, 2002, he was united in marriage to Jessica Billings in Colorado Springs, Colorado. One son Zachery was born to this union. They resided in Kimballton and over the years Aaron worked for several construction companies. For the past few years he has been employed by Audubon County and worked in the Secondary Roads Department.
Aaron loved being in the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an accomplished trapper. He had a large garden and learned how to can the fruits of his labor. He was a “Jack of All Trades”. He had many hobbies and enjoyed doing everything from making fine jewelry to modifying small engines to perfection.
Aaron was preceded in death by his grandparents Vernon and Dorothy Hoegh, Richard and Shirley Hanson, and Lloyd and Ruth Billings; his father-in-law Dennis Billings, Sr. and his brother-in-law Dennis Billings, Jr.
Survivors include his wife Jessica Billings-Hoegh and his son Zachery Hoegh both of Kimballton, Iowa; His parents Glen and wife Carla Hoegh of Kimballton, Iowa, Janette and husband Rick Case of Creston, Iowa; his sister and brothers Jessica and husband Troy Helm of Carter Lake, Iowa, and Mitchell Hoegh and Marcus Hoegh both of Kimballton, Iowa; his mother-in-law Lonnie Lollie of Kimballton, Iowa, his step-brother and step-sister, Brandy and husband Alan Bowling, Josh and Misty Hemminger, and KiTon and husband Keith Gares; his grandparents Frances Jameson and Mack Lollie both of Grand Ridge, Florida; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Sam Jacobs and Pastor Keith Menter on Thursday, June 25, 2015, at 10:30 A.M. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kimballton, Iowa. Inurnment will be at a later date. The honorary casket bearers will be Brian Gessert, Denver Hansen, Jason Steen, and Bryce Hancock. The casket bearers will be Mitchell Hoegh, Marcus Hoegh, Josh Hemminger, Zach Colhour, Kent Dreyer, and Joe Lile. The family will meet with friends on Wednesday evening, June 24, 2015, at 5:00 P.M. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon, Iowa.
