Dolores "Tiny" Lavonne Feltner

Dolores LaVonne Feltner fondly known as “Tiny” by all her friends and relatives was born February 7, 1926, at her parents’ home in Audubon, Iowa and died January 23, 2016, at the Friendship Home in Audubon, Iowa at the age of 89 years, 11 months, and 16 days.
Tiny attended and graduated from the Audubon Community Schools then was employed at the local canning factory for a short time. She later worked at Jung’s Bakery washing dishes. During this time she also lived with and cared for her mother who had many health issues. Tiny was always busy and to fill her time she helped clean Martha’s Beauty Shop and The Rose Theater. She was employed in the house keeping department of the Friendship Home where she worked for 26 and a half years until she retired. She later made her home there in February of 2012.
Tiny always kept her home in immaculate condition. She was very resourceful and creative. She was able to make something out of nothing. She learned how to sew when she was a young girl and was able to make all her own drapes, bedspreads, and doll clothes for her large doll collection.
Tiny had one son Terry. He was the light of her life but was taken to heaven in 1969.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; and her brothers and sisters Delbert Feltner,
LaVerne Feltner, Opal Grace Sheets, andMary Curley.
Survivors include her grandsons John and wife Darla Feltner of Olathe, Kansas and Tim and wife Nessa Feltner of Earlham, Iowa; her daughter-in-law Bev and husband Keith King of Audubon, Iowa; Nathan and wife Rachael King of Audubon, Iowa, Kris and wife Stefanie King of Altoona, Iowa; her great grandchildren Nick Feltner of Madrid, Iowa, Jessica Feltner of Olathe, Kansas, Wade Feltner of Earlham, Iowa, Maya and Kamdam King both of Audubon, Iowa, and Parker and Chas King both of Altoona, Iowa; her sister Rowena Baughman of Lincoln, Nebraska, nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted by Pastor Roger Claxton on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon, Iowa. Inurnment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Audubon, Iowa. Honorary casket bearers will be John Feltner, Tim Feltner, Nathan King, Kris King, Nick Feltner, and Wade Feltner. The family will meet with friends Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon, Iowa
