Dorothy Christine Inman

Dorothy Christine Inman, the daughter of Alfred and Edna Christensen Nielsen was born July 22, 1920 in Council Bluffs, Iowa and died June 5, 2010 at the Friendship Home in Audubon, Iowa at the age of 89 years, 10 months and 14 days.
Dorothy attended rural school in Pottawattamie County, Iowa. Following school, she was employed as a housekeeper.
On September 25, 1940, she was united in marriage to Rex Inman in Algona, Iowa. Thirteen children were born to this union. Dorothy was a homemaker raising her family and later worked at Darrells Place restaurant in Hamlin, Iowa for a short time. Rex died April 29, 1995. Dorothy continued to enjoy her home until she moved to the Friendship Home in Audubon on November 13, 2006.
She was a member of the Hamlin Lutheran Church in Hamlin. She was a member of the Evening Circle, Bible Study and the quilting group. Dorothy loved to watch golf and Wheel Of Fortune. She enjoyed camping, embroidering, baking pies and spending time with her family.
Preceding her in death is her husband Rex Inman; her children: Eugene, Rodney and Diana; her son-in-law: Wayne Ludwig; her grandson: Todd Nielsen; her parents; her brother and sisters: Marian Nielsen, Shirley Nielsen, Clarence Nielsen and Margaret and husband Bernie Chapman.
Survivors include her children: Phyllis and husband Dick Dondlinger of Des Moines, Iowa; Doug and wife Kathy Inman of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Howard Inman of Onawa, Iowa; Karol Ludwig of West Des Moines, Iowa; Karen Inman of Creston, Iowa; Donna and husband Ron Nielsen of Hamlin, Iowa; Janet Sheeder of Bayard, Iowa; Debbie Inman of Audubon, Iowa; Verne and husband Jon Seime of Chandler, Arizona; Kent and wife Kathy Inman of Audubon; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; her brother: Ronald and wife Audrey Nielsen of Lewis, Iowa; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Cemetery:
The interment will be in the Hamlin Lutheran Cemetery in Hamlin.

Visitation:
The family will meet friends Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon, IA.

Service:
Funeral Service will be conducted by Pastor Steven Frock on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon, IA.
