Eva Louise Miller

Eva L. Miller, of Calhoun, Georgia, formerly of Audubon, Iowa, the youngest daughter of eight children born to Joseph and Ruth Wolkotte Bromert, was born April 25, 1914 in Carroll, Iowa and died July 24, 2009 at Heartland Hospice Center in Cartersville, Georgia, due to complications from a stroke, at the age of 95 years, 3 months, and 29 days.
Eva was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Carroll, IA. She attended St. Peter and Paul Parochial School. Eva graduated from high school in 1932 and St. Anthony Hospital School of Nursing in Carroll in 1936. Eva was a dedicated nurse for 26 years in the Guthrie County Hospital before retiring as the Director of Nurses. She married Chester Fulton Miller on June 6, 1938 at. St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Carroll, IA. Six children were born to this union. They were married 35 years until Chesters death on November 18, 1973.
Eva married Charles W. Miller on September 5, 1986. They were married 15 years until Charles death on March 21, 2001.
Eva loved to make rosaries and she shared them with missions, monasteries and convents all over the world. One of her prized possessions was a hand written thank you note from Mother Theresa.
Preceding her in death were her husbands; her son, Joseph Miller; her daughter-in-law Becky Miller, and her step son-in-law, Roger Rudolph.
Survivors include her children: her son, Kenneth Walter and wife Gisela Miller of Adairsville, GA; her son, Chester Allen and wife Kuem Mi Miller of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; her daughter, Rosemary Denise and husband Darrel Jones, of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; her son, Franklin Lee Miller of Janesville, MN; and her daughter, Helen Ann and husband Steve Miner of Shawnee, KS. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Susan Diamond of Ft. Myers, FL, Carlo Miller of Athens, GA, Lorene Jonell of Minneapolis, MN, Scott Miller of Duluth, MN, Jennifer Miller of Tallahassee, FL, Michelle Miller of Gainesville, FL, Christopher Jones of Phoenix, AZ, Jason Jones of Mary Esther, FL, James Jones of Phoenix, AZ, Joshua Miller of Madison Lake, MN, Justin Miller of Janesville, MN, Ashley Miller of Janesville, MN, Erin Yarbrough of Shawnee, KS, and Alex Miner of Shawnee, KS and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Clara ONeal of Amarillo, TX; her step-daughters: Madeline Pedersen and husband Gilbert of Atlantic, IA; Delores Rudolph of Des Moines, IA and Jeannie Snyder and husband Rex of Urbandale, IA; other relatives and friends.

Contributions to St. Patricks Catholic Church in Mrs. Millers name will be greatly appreciated.

Cemetery:
Interment will be in the St. Patricks Catholic Cemetery in Audubon.

Visitation:
The family will meet friends Wednesday evening at 7:00 with a Rosary at 7:30 at Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon.

Service:
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Wayne Gubbels on Thursday, July 30, 2009, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Audubon, IA.
