John Edgar Frederiksen

October 26, 1952 — December 26, 2008

John Edgar Frederiksen, the son of John Leon and Marcelyn Miller Frederiksen, was born October 26, 1952, in Audubon, Iowa and died December 26, 2008, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa at the age of 56 years and 2 months.
John was baptized and confirmed at the Hamlin Lutheran Church. He attended rural schools near Audubon and attended Audubon High School. John worked with his father doing custom bailing for several years. John then began driving truck. He drove locally and over-the-road working for several different companies. He was a truck driver for Western Express in Atlantic driving over the road for the past 16 years. John enjoyed playing pool, collecting phones, and watching science fiction movies.
Preceding him in death were his son Joel Frederiksen; his father John L. Frederiksen, and his sister Dorci Andersen.
Survivors include his daughters: Stacy Kay Johnson and her children: Jacob, Caleb, and Cameron, all of Estacada, OR and Tresa Frederiksen and her children: Dylan, Aiden, and Brooklyn, all of Council Bluffs, IA; daughter by choice Allicia King of Exira, IA; his mother Marcelyn Frederiksen of Hamlin, IA; his brother and sisters: Debra Kay and Rick Petersen; Jim and Patti Frederiksen, all of Atlantic, IA; Diane and Scott Black of Hamlin; his brother-in-law Jim Andersen of Exira; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Visitation:
The family will meet friends on Monday evening at 7:00 at the Kessler Funeral Home in Exira.

Service:
Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Steven Frock on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Exira, IA
