Kathy Ann Hansen

Kathy Ann Hansen, the daughter of Levi Silvers and Lovila Ann (Christensen) Hansen, was born February 1, 1964, at the Audubon County Memorial Hospital in Audubon, Iowa and died December 1, 2017, at the Audubon County Memorial Hospital in Audubon, Iowa at the age of 53 years and 10 months.
Kathy was baptized at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Audubon. She attended the Audubon Community Schools with the Class of 1982. Kathy studied at the University of Iowa and Simpson College receiving a Bachelor Degree in Political Science.
Kathy worked as a Paralegal for Andersen Law Office in Audubon for many years then later at Rutherford Law Office in Atlantic, Iowa. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, shopping, classical movies, and spending time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed playing with her puppy Ricky. Kathy was a loving and caring person and will be dearly missed.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her brother-in-law Rodney Bills, and her great niece Kate Griffith.
Survivors include her siblings Steven D. Hansen of Audubon, Iowa, Donna Bills (Rick Tibben) of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, Deb (Don) Laster of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Julie (Roger) Bylund of Audubon, Iowa; her nieces and nephews Sam (Amy) Hansen of Manning, Iowa, Jason Bills and Tyler Bills both of Atlantic, Iowa, Jeremy (Amy) Tibben of Stanton, Iowa, Tami Tibben of Omaha, Nebraska, Jennifer (Lindsey) Smith, Jessica (Mark) Patterson, and Levi Laster all of Des Moines, Iowa, Heather (Andy) Griffith, Chris Bylund, Michael Bylund, and Susie Bylund all of Audubon, Iowa; her aunt Linda Hansen of Brookings, South Dakota; great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Doug Opp on Monday afternoon December 4, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon, Iowa. The family will meet with friends Monday afternoon December 4, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Audubon. The casket bearers will be her nieces and nephews. The family prefers memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1893, Memphis Tennessee 38101-9950.
