Madoline Rose Boulware (Baker) the daughter of Alva Boulware and LoEtta Stiles Boulware was born November 5, 1928 in Scranton lowa and died November 18, 2022, at the Greater Regional Hospital in Creston, lowa at the age of 94 years.
Madoline graduated from Scranton High School and worked factory jobs in nearby towns. On January 6, 1951, she was united in marriage to Paul Junior Baker where they were blessed with 6 children, they were longtime residents of northwest Audubon, lowa. Madoline was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church in Audubon, lowa where she spent many hours participating with her kids in the earlier years and volunteering with the women group in the later years.
She was extremely proud of achieving her Certified Nurse's Assistant certificate Madoline worked at the Friendship Home in Audubon and her love was helping and caring for all the residents, later she spent time doing in home health care and loved working with kids. Upon retirement she moved to Audubon Friendship Village where you would see her out and about with friends going to town activities. In 2019 Madoline moved to Creston to be closer to son Bruce, Dixie, Amy, Gerard, Danika and Mattias. Madoline loved to spend her time enjoying a cup of tea with visitors, watching her lowa Hawkeyes doing any sports events. She also enjoyed time out watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren sports games and any special activity she could get to.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Alva and LoEtta, her husband Paul Baker and infant son Timothy Baker, her sister Katheryn Thomas, her brothers, Robert, Val, Delbert (Si), and Edward (Scotty) and Son-in-law Ronald Strom.
Survivors include her sister-in-law Marilyn Boulware (Ketter); Her children, spouses and families, Dennis and Lois Baker of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Bruce and Dixie Baker of Creston, lowa, Sheila Baker of Ames lowa, Bonnie Baker (Strom) of Des Moines, Iowa, Wanda Kay Baker of Windsor Heights, lowa, 9 Grandchildren, 14 Great grandchildren, with numerous Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and many loved friends.
The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date this coming spring.
