Michael Dean Munch

Michael Dean Munch, the son of Dallas and Gloria (Petersen) Munch, was born August 12, 1963, in Audubon, Iowa and died November 29, 2014 at his home near Manning, Iowa at the age of 51 years, 3 months, and 17 days.
Michael was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviour’s Church in Audubon, Iowa. He attended elementary school in Gray, Iowa and then graduated from Audubon High School with the class of 1981. During school and after graduation he was employed as a hired man for Dale Henriksen.
On October 11, 1980, he was united in marriage to Lori Flug at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Two children Tonya and Jeremy were born to this union. They lived in Audubon and Michael worked for Dale Henriksen for a short time and then was employed at Multi-Pig. Later he became the manager; working his 30th year of employment in December of 2013. Mike also helped with the harvest for the Bruch family and Lony Haubrich.
Michael has been a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. He enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, and especially enjoyed his dogs, Keisha and Teddy. He also enjoyed sitting in his recliner and watching TV his favorites being NASCAR and the Kansas City Chiefs. But most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother Gloria Munch, his brother Steven Munch and infant brother Timothy Munch; and his mother-in-law Cheryl Nickel.
Survivors include his children: Tonya and husband Keith Freeman of Ardmore, Oklahoma;
Jeremy Munch and fiancée Heather Scott of Guthrie Center, Iowa; his partner Jenny Fox of Manning, Iowa, Ashley Fox of Audubon, Iowa; Kaleb Fox of Audubon, Iowa: his grandchildren: Whitney Munch, Cannon Freeman and Ava Freeman all of Ardmore, Oklahoma; Brennon Munch of Harlan, Iowa; Bryson Anderson and Brailyn Anderson both of Audubon, Iowa; his father: Dallas and wife Nancy Munch Exira, Iowa; his father-in-law: Danny Nickel of Guthrie Center, Iowa; his sisters: Sheri and husband Mike Irlmeier of Brayton, Iowa; Lori and husband Ned Lewis of Urbandale, Iowa; his sisters-in-law: Kristy Munch of Greeley, Colorado; Clarissa and husband Clair Calmer of Manson, Iowa; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
