Terry Lee Romick, Sr.

Terry Lee Romick, Sr., the son of George and Gloria (Galusha) Romick, was born July 25, 1949, at the Gordon Memorial Hospital in Gordon, Nebraska and died November 20, 2021, at the Audubon County Memorial Hospital in Audubon, Iowa at the age of 72 years, 3 months, and 26 days.

Terry was baptized in the Christian faith in Pacific Junction, Iowa. He attended Alliance Public Schools in Alliance, Nebraska. After school, he helped his father George on the family farm for a few years.

He was blessed with three children, Christina, Priscilla, and Terry, Jr. He was employed for a Pest Control Company in Omaha, Nebraska for a few years before driving dump truck for Flynn Paving in Omaha for several years. He then hauled aggregate for Charles Renshaw in Council Bluffs, Iowa before becoming employed with Sapp Brothers in Council Bluffs as a mechanic for several years until he was forced to retire in 2004 due to his failing health. He made Audubon, Iowa home in 2010.

Terry was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to race stock cars and in his spare time you could often find him playing spades with his family. Most of all he cherished the time spent with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was his granddaughters, Shelby Romick and Lila Story; his parents; his sister, Anita Frazier, and his brother, Miran Romick.

Survivors include children: Christina and husband Danny McClain of Pine City, Minnesota, Priscilla and husband Ron Story of Elk Horn, Iowa, and Terry, Jr. and wife Amber Romick of Carroll, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; his brother and sisters: Robert and wife Linda Romick of Hot Springs, South Dakota, Coletta and husband Walt Hinley of Bedford, Iowa, and Lorla Romick of Red Oak, Iowa; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will greet friends on Saturday, November 27, 2021, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon, Iowa. Following the visitation, cremation will take place. Honorary casket bearers will be: Chris McClain, Troy Romick, Terry Romick, III, Daltynn McClain, Nicolis Romick, and Alexis Romick.
