Beverly Ann Juelsgaard

Mrs. Beverly Ann Juelsgaard, age 85, of Exira, IA, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Unity Point Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, IA.

Beverly Ann Lund was born on February 26, 1940, in Audubon County, IA, to Harold and Freda (Andersen) Lund. She attended Adair Schools up to the 11th grade, then the family moved to Elk Horn, where she graduated from Elk Horn Schools. On September 5, 1959, she was united in marriage to Ronald Ray Juelsgaard. To this union, three children were born: Randy, Robin, and Brian. During Beverly's working career, after graduating high school, she was a dental assistant, a desk clerk at the Super 8 Hotel in Atlantic, and helped manage Meals on Wheels in Exira for many years.

Bev was a member of the Brayton Lutheran Church and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed playing cards, eating out with friends, socializing with others, and most of all, spending time with her family. Her infectious smile and friendly demeanor will be missed by all.

Preceding in Bev's passing is her son Randy Juelsgaard; Parents, Harold and Freda Lund; Parents-in-law, Norman and Verda Juelsgaard; Sister and Brother-in-law, Janet and Verdell Nelson; Brothers-in-law John Toft, and Jack Juelsgaard; Nephews, Jason Juelsgaard and Nathan Juelsgaard.

Bev is survived by her Husband, Ronald Juelsgaard; children, Robin Carder and Brian (Traci) Juelsgaard; Grandchildren, Danielle (Gary) Balk, Cody (Sam Tipton) Juelsgaard, Kylie (Alex) Wiederin, Colin Juelsgaard; Great-grandchildren, Kolt Wiederin, Blaine Wiederin, Kace Wiederin, Iveson Tipton Juelsgaard; Sister, Mary Toft; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the Brayton Lutheran Church in Brayton, IA, with Rev. Loren Christensen officiating the service. A luncheon will be held following the funeral at the Brayton Town Hall. Interment will take place following the luncheon at the Elk Horn Lutheran Cemetery in Elk Horn, IA

Public visitation with the family will be held before the funeral on Thursday, starting at 9:00 a.m. at the church in Brayton.

Memorials may be directed to the Bev Family. They will be designated at a later date in memory of Bev. They may be mailed to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 523, Atlantic, IA 50022.
