Bille Neighbors

Bille Garell Neighbors, 80, of Anita, Iowa, and formerly of Modesto, California, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

He was born April 11, 1935, in Oakland, Iowa, the son of Virgil and Ioma (Shaw) Neighbors. Bill attended country school and graduated from Anita High School in 1953. He served as a Private First Class in the United States Army in the 5th armored division specializing in artillery track vehicle maintenance and guided missile school.

Bille is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sandra Neighbors of Anita, IA; his children, Cheryl (Ron) Jensen, Leeann (Jim) Denney and Jeff Neighbors all of Anita; his brother, Gary (Judy) Neighbors of Anita; his grandchildren, Nick (Stephanie) Rote, Ryan (Jessica) Rote all of Albia, IA, Justin (Megan) Denney of Deridder, LA, Jerrid (Jessica) Denney of Dexter, IA, Chance Denney of Anita and Aaron Neighbors of Modesto, CA; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Ioma Neighbors.

In accordance with Bille's wishes, cremation has taken place and they will have a private family service at a later date.
