Chad Litty

Mr. Chester "Chad" Alan Litty Jr., age 51, of Atlantic, IA, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Cass Health in Atlantic, IA.

Chester Alan Litty Jr. was born in Janesville, Wisconsin, on October 16, 1974, a son of Chester Alan Litty Sr. and Diane Brauer. He grew up in Clinton, Iowa, and attended school in Charlotte. Over the last 11 years of Chad's life, he was a general manager of many convenience stores in West Central Iowa. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, going fishing, and watching UFC fights. Chad was a companion to Rachael for over 26 years, together raising their family. He loved being a parent and husband.

Chad is survived by his wife, Rachael; children, Kodiak, Daitona, Dylan, and Daniel; three grandchildren and one on the way; his father, Chet Litty, and his wife, Linda; his mother, Diane Litty; and three siblings, Rebecca, Domnic, and Katrina.

Chad is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Frankie.

A public visitation with the family will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Atlantic, IA.

Memorials may be directed to the Litty Family to be designated at a later date, and they may be mailed to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 523, Atlantic, IA 50022.
