Connie Kay Noland

Connie Kay Noland, 79, of Adair, Iowa, passed away Friday, April 12 at the Community
Care Center in Stuart, Iowa.

Connie was born June 30, 1944, to Zort Allen and Frances Isabelle (Duthie) Brown. She
attended country school in her early years and graduated high school from Adair-Casey
in 1962. After graduation, Connie attended beauty school in Des Moines and became a
hair stylist at Phil’s Beauty Box in Adair. Connie eventually became co-owner of Noland
Feed & Fertilizer where she provided secretarial support until she retired in 2007.

While spending time with her sister in Adair, Connie met Rex Eugene Noland and
immediately thought that he would be a great brother-in-law; however, Rex had other
intentions. Rex and Connie were married on September 25, 1966 in Casey, Iowa. Their
union resulted in the birth of their three sons: Thomas Eugene, Robert Charles, and
James Patrick Noland.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents Zort Allen and Frances Brown, stepmother
Addie Brown, brother Zort Craig Brown, and husband Rex Noland.

Connie is survived by her three sons, Tom (Annette) Noland of Adair, IA, Rob Noland of
Baton Rouge, LA, and Jamie (Britnee) Noland of Adair, IA; four grandchildren, Ashley
(Chris) Nelsen of Carroll, IA, Gage Noland of Adair, IA, Talon and Nile Noland of Adair,
IA; two sisters, Karen Moriarity of Des Moines, IA and Sandi Davis of Wichita, KS; and
by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation with family will be from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the
Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Adair, 804 5 th Street, Adair, IA 50002.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the United
Methodist Church in Adair, Iowa. Reverend Charlene Wolfe will officiate. Following the
funeral service, interment will be at the Sunnyhill Cemetery in Adair, Iowa. A luncheon
with family and friends will be held at the Adair Community Center after the committal
service.
