Dale William Jensen

Dale Jensen, 90, of Anita, died Tuesday, November 28, 2023, after a short illness at Caring Acres in Anita, IA. He was born on April 12, 1933, to George and Veta Jensen in Anita. Dale attended Anita High School.

On March 17, 1957, Dale was united in marriage to Connie Cooper, and they had 4 children, Ronald, Jeffrey, Penny, and Jerry.

Dale worked for Kohl & Lantz Grocery before joining the military. Upon his return, he went into partnership with Raymond Lantz operating Lantz & Jensen for many years before purchasing the business and operating it as Jensen Foods for 40 years. He and Connie went on to manage Crestwood Hills Golf Course for many more years. After retiring from the golf course Dale drove a courier route for Rolling Hills Bank & Trust.

Dale is survived by his wife, Connie of Anita; his children, Ron (Cheryl) Jensen of Anita; Penny Brahms of Anita, and Jerry Jensen of Omaha, grandson, Simon (Tori), great granddaughters Kinsley and Marlee, brother Gary (Barbara) Jensen of North Carolina, and sisters Barb (Phil) Brownsberger of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Connie (Chuck) Sorensen of Exira, Iowa; along with step grandsons, Nick and Ryan Rote.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jeffrey, sisters LaVonne and Shirley.
