Diana Jean Schuler

Mrs. Diana J. Schuler, age 61, of Atlantic IA, passed away on Sunday, July 27th, 2025, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE, surround by her loving family. Diana was born the daughter to Keith and Beth Bruce in Iowa City, Iowa on December 12th, 1963, the third of four children. She graduated from Atlantic Community Schools, where she was an active member of the swimming, volleyball, basketball and track teams.

On May 23rd, 1981, Diana was united in marriage to Alan Schuler, they were blessed with four children. While raising their children Diana helped on the farm, she later went to work for the Atlantic School District as the children got older.

Diana life was devoted to caring for husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, puzzles, crafting, baking and playing card games. She spent many weekends camping and eating s’mores and well-done hot dogs over the campfire. Above all, Diana’s greatest joy was her family--- always cheering, supporting and caring for her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Beth Bruce, father-in-law, Duane Schuler and mother-in-law, Jane Schuler.

Survivors include her husband Alan; children, Amanda (Cody) Will, Nicholas (Sydney) Schuler, Joshua (Cecilia) Schuler, Emily (Matthew) Groves; Grandchildren, Brant, Caden and Morgan Will, Wesley and Norah Schuler, Madeline, Molly and Mason Schuler, Graham and Logan Groves; father Keith Bruce; siblings, Dick (Mary) Bruce, Dana Donnelly, Dawn (Jeff) Doore, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Diana will be missed by many but never far from our memories.

A visitation will with the family present will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 5 pm till 7 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Atlantic, IA.
