Diane Billheimer

Diane H. Billheimer, 84, of Casey, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Taylor House in Des Moines, Iowa.

Diane was born October 15, 1930, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Robert Walter and Elizabeth Helen (Drake) Streitler. She spent her childhood growing up in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Des Moines in 1948. Diane lived in Des Moines from 1930 until 1959 and in West Des Moines from 1959 until 1975 at which time she moved to Casey, Iowa. She was married to James LeRoy Billheimer in 1971.

She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Casey Concrete retiring in 1994.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James.

Diane is survived by her daughter, Sandy Kirkman of Hixson, TN; a son, James (Dawn) Kirkman of Urbandale, IA; a daughter-in-law, Linda Billheimer of Casey, IA; grandchildren, Brian Kirkman, Amy Kirkman, Ryan Billheimer and Trish Althoff; five great-grandchildren; step-sons, Robert Billheimer of Wyoming, Kenneth Billheimer of San Francisco, CA and James Billheimer of Riverside, CA.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2015, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Casey, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Casey, Iowa, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Casey, Iowa, at a later date.

Hockenberry Family Care in Adair, Iowa, is in charge of arrangements.
