Edna Witzman

Edna Witzman, 68, of Eldon, Missouri, and formerly of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family.

Edna was born June 12, 1950, in Atlantic, Iowa, to Bernard A. and Elsie L. Oler Reinier. She grew up in Anita, Iowa, and graduated from the Anita High School.

After graduating, she moved to Atlantic, Iowa, where she worked at Young’s Restaurant for several months before she found a job at the Atlantic Memorial Hospital where she worked for four years before being united in marriage.

Edna was united in marriage to Dale Richard Witzman on June 15, 1973, in Atlantic, Iowa. She then worked at the Atlantic Community School District until she retired in 2012. In 2013, Edna and Dale moved to Eldon, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard A Reinier and Elsie L. Reinier Bailey; her step-dad, Kermit Bailey; and a brother, Emery Reinier.

Edna is survived by her husband, Dale Witzman of Eldon, MO; her children, Lisa (Adam) Juckette of Des Moines, IA and their children, Lincoln, Eden and Cosmo; Todd (Tamara) Witzman of Eldon, MO and their children, Tate, Danica, Lauren Imler and MaKenna Imler; and Amie (Nathan) Gieseke of Mineral Point, WI and their children, Oliver, Oakley and Arlo.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Hockenberry Family Care Funeral Home in Atlantic. Visitation with family will take place during a luncheon at the Atlantic Community Center following the service.
