Elane Adams, 63, of Casey, Iowa, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.
Elane was born July 23, 1950, in Guthrie County, Iowa, to Floyd and Nellie Marie (Petersen) Shell. She spent her childhood growing up in Casey, Iowa. Later in her life she met and married Virgil Adams. Elane enjoyed gardening, crafts and camping.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Marie Shell; her husband, Virgil; four sisters and two brothers.
Elane is survived by her daughter, Deecee (Percy) West of Creston, IA; her granddaughter, Kacee (Beau) Kennedy; her grandsons, Anthony and Kercy; her sister, Linda (Salvador) Marguez of Pierce, Colorado; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate and remember Elane will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 31, 2014, at the Casey United Methodist Church in Casey, Iowa.
A private interment of ashes will be held at a later date.
