Emerson Lloyd Fry

     Emmerson Lloyd Fry, the son of Harry H. Fry, Sr. and Viola Lucille (Brensel) Fry, was born September 1, 1951, in Carroll, Iowa and died December 2, 2022, at the Mercy Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa at the age of 71 years, 3 months, and 1 day.

     Emerson was the youngest of seven children and grew up on the family farm in rural Audubon County. He attended rural school, Melville #9 then graduated from the Audubon High School with the Class of 1972. Following graduation, he lived on the family farm, taking care of his parents and his sister Donna. Emerson has raised sheep and cattle for many years.

     Emerson’s greatest pleasure was raising his animals. He enjoyed watching WWE wrestling, especially the Friday night Smackdown and watching westerns, the best when John Wayne was the star.

     Preceding him in death were his parents, Harry, Sr. and Viola Fry; his sisters Nora Jean Bertelsen, Bernadine Fry, and Mary Fry, and his brother Robert F. Fry.

     Survivors include his sister Donna Fry of rural Audubon, Iowa, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

     The family will greet friends Thursday morning, December 8, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon, Iowa. Funeral services will be conducted by Reverend Philip Beisswenger on Thursday morning, December 8, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon, Iowa. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Audubon, Iowa. Casket bearers will be Brian Svoboda, Jesse Svoboda, Rod Williams, Roger Merk, and Dave Campbell.
