ESTHER WEINHEIMER

Esther Weinheimer, 91, a lifelong Atlantic resident, passed away Saturday morning, July 22, 2006, at the Atlantic Nursing and Rehab Center.
Esther was born June 22, 1915, on a farm north of Atlantic, Iowa, the daughter of Martin and Cecelia (Jensen) Olsen.
She was a 1933 graduate of the Atlantic High School and then attended business college.
On May 22, 1937, Esther married Roy Weinheimer in Fairmont, Minnesota.
She worked for the Federal Landbank, and for 22 years was the cashier and bookkeeper for the Pioneer Theatre Corporation. She also worked as a doctor's assistant at the Atlantic Medical Center for 23 years, prior to retiring.
Esther was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Atlantic, where she was active in the Women's Circle and had served as a Deacon. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Cass County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary as well as a former member of the Business and Professional Women.
Esther is survived by her daughter, Marcia Roll and her husband, Paul of Denver, Colorado; a stepdaughter, June R. Weinheimer Donnelly of Omaha, Nebraska; two grandchildren, Jeff Schuttloffel and his wife, Catherine of Pell City, Alabama and Zina Vanderberg and her husband, Duane of Fisher, Indiana; four great-grandchildren, Cameron and Nicolas Vanderberg, and Janae and Jared Schuttloffel; four step-grandchildren, Carol Paustain, LeRoy Donnelly, Pam Johnson, and Steve Weinheimer. Nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Cecelia Olsen; three sisters, Agnes Olsen, Mary Wade, and Tina Carlson; three brothers, Hilbert and Henry Andersen, and Ezra Olsen; as well as a stepson, Robert R. Weinheimer.
Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at the Atlantic First United Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Don Seeger officiating.
Visitation with the family is scheduled for Tuesday evening, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with cremation to follow.
A private, family committal service and interment of ashes will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.
The family is suggesting memorials to the Atlantic First United Presbyterian Church in Esther's memory.
