Evelyn Kessler

Evelyn Jean Kessler, 93, of Wiota, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at the home of her daughter.

Evelyn was born in Grantsburg, Wisconsin, on February 17, 1921, to Bert and Pluma (Cambridge) Wilson. Evelyn married Wayne Kessler May 6, 1939. She worked for Claremar Fabrics in Atlantic for 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and attended any event that they participated in.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Judy Murphy of Wiota, IA and son, Wayne (Donnis) Kessler Jr of Atlantic, IA; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Morris (Carolyn) Wilson of Arizona and Ray (Francis) Wilson of Council Bluffs, IA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; a great-grandson, Daniel Murphy; brothers, Harold, Gail, Lyle and Ralph Wilson; a sister, Beulah Brindley; and her son-in-law, Bill Murphy.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at the Atlantic Cemetery, Atlantic, Iowa.
