Jamie Andrew Faga was born on April 5, 1973, at Audubon County Hospital, and he died on June 22, 2026, at his family farm in Exira. His parents were Connie Ray and Connie Sue Faga. He was baptized on April 29, 1973, and confirmed on April 12, 1987, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in rural Adair, Iowa.

He attended school in Exira and graduated with the class of 1991 in Audubon, Iowa. After graduation, he attended Northwest Missouri State University, where he graduated in 1995.

Following college, he worked for Van Guard Airlines in Kansas City. Then he moved back to Iowa, worked for Landus in Jefferson, and helped his father with farming.

Jamie really enjoyed taking care of his horses, watching the Raiders, going to church on Sunday, and having dinner, followed by playing cards with his family.

Preceding him in death were his father Connie Ray Faga, grandparents Andrew & Helen Faga, and Norman & Agnes Baier Cleeland & Robert Cleeland, uncles Larry & David Faga, Bob Barnett and aunts Deb Barnett and Kay Selby.

He leaves behind his mother, Connie Sue, brother Jeremie, and sister Julie, his uncle Dave Selby, his aunts Sherri and Donna Faga, and cousins Mark, Cynthia, Zach, Toni, Cindy, Chad, Josh & Shawna, and several other cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at St. John Lutheran Church in Audubon. Rev. Mike Bodkins will officiate the service. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Saturday.

Following the service, there will be a committal at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery northwest of Adair.
Memorials may be directed to the Jamie Faga Family to be designated at a later date in his memory. They may be mailed to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 201, Audubon, IA.

Schmidt Family Funeral Home of Exira is handling the arrangements for the Faga Family.
