Jason Thomas “JT” Eilts, age 39, of Wiota, IA, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA.

Jason was born on July 11, 1982, the son of Thomas and Linda (Wedemeyer) Eilts. He attended school in Anita and graduated with the class of 2001. Jason was baptized on August 22, 1982, and confirmed on March 23, 1997, at First Lutheran Church just south of Wiota, IA. After graduation, Jason worked for several farmers in the area. In 2017 he started working at the Anita Vet Clinic and helping at the Anita and Massena Livestock Auctions. Jason's biggest passion was livestock. Jason and his dad could sit for hours and discuss many topics in the livestock industry. He enjoyed reading many cattle magazines keeping up on the latest reports and articles. Jason was always around to help his folks on his days off and after hours. Whether it was pulling calves, working cattle, hauling grain, or just to simply let them know that, "they are doing it wrong!" Jason had a huge heart with a great sense of humor, he always made people laugh. He often would ask a person, "Can I give you a hug." He was well-loved and will be missed by so many family and friends.
