Jeanette Wittrock, 78, of Anita, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa.

Jeanette Louise was born August 26, 1939, in Carroll, Iowa, to Leo and Margaret (Haverman) Hannasch. She attended school in Carroll, Iowa, and was in the first graduating class of Kuemper Catholic High School.

On June 23, 1959, she married Ronald Wittrock at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Roselle, Iowa. They lived near Roselle until moving to the farm east of Anita in 1970, where they lived for 47 years.

Jeanette spent her adult life as a homemaker, mother and farm wife. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Anita and the Catholic Women Organization.

She enjoyed her time with the Kitchen Klatter Neighborhood Club. She also liked sewing, gardening, flowers, and watching cardinals. Her favorite time was with family and reading “The Best Nest” and “Are You My Mother” to her grandchildren.

Preceding Jeanette in death were her parents, Leo and Margaret, and her grandson, David Drees.

Family who survives her are: her husband, Ronald Wittrock of Anita, IA; her children, Sheryl (Larry) Drees of Adair, IA, Brian (Julie) Wittrock of Carroll, IA, Don (Lisa) Wittrock of Anta, IA and Tom (Wendy) Wittrock of Wiota, IA; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Leonard Hannasch of Edmund, OK and Dave (Janice) Hannasch of Atlantic, IA; sisters, Esther (Jerry) Irlbeck of Spirit Lake, IA and Delores (Toby) Hoffman of Carroll, IA.

Visitation with family will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 16, 2018, at Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic, Iowa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Anita, Iowa. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Anita, Iowa.

Memorials may be left to the family to be designated later.
