Joe Schmitt, age 77, of Walnut, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at Cass Health in Atlantic, Iowa.
A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at the Marne Fire Station.
Private burial will be at the Brighton Township Cemetery in Marne, Iowa.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for future designation and can be sent in care of Schmidt Family Funeral Home to P.O. Box 523, Atlantic, Iowa.
