LaDonna Kay Clark

LaDonna K. Clark, age 86 of Atlantic, died on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Cass Memorial Hospital in Atlantic. She was born on November 18th, 1936, on the family farm near Creston, Iowa to Lendal and Eleanor (Nobel) Snyder. She was baptized in the Platte Center Church. She attended country school and graduated from Creston High School with the class of 1955.
LaDonna was married to Norman Clark on June 16th, 1957, in Creston. While they were stationed in the Air Force a son, Mark, was born in 1958. They returned to Iowa in 1961 and worked for several farmers before moving to Atlantic Iowa.
LaDonna started working for the Cass County School System, and then she went to the secondary roads department for Cass County until she retired. Always wanting to be busy, so she went to work for Cambridge Law Firm for several years. She also worked part time for a local auction company and was a member of the Does.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Norman Clark of Atlantic; son, Mark (Carol) Clark of Lewis, IA; and brother Dick Snyder of Creston, IA; sister-in-law Marlene Weishaur. Her grandchildren: Roxanne (Rick) Ericson of Oregon; Nick Clark of Viriginia; step grandchildren: Shawn (Tara) Jespersen of Cumberland, and Christy Jespersen of Griswold; Nine great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
LaDonna was preceded in death by her parents; still born son, Randy; grandson, Robert Clark; brothers in law, sisters in law and other family members.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 am, on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Atlantic with the family present from 10 am until time of services followed by a luncheon at the funeral home. Burial will then be held at 3 pm at the Graceland Cemetery in Creston, IA. Memorials to be made in her name and will be designated at a later date to a cause that was important to LaDonna and can be mailed to the funeral home at P.O. Box 523.
