Linda Sue Wede daughter of James Jorgensen and Gladys (Petersen) Jorgensen was born November 17th, 1958, in Audubon, IA and died September 20th, 2025 at the Audubon County Memorial Hospital at the age of 66.

Linda was baptized and confirmed at the Hamlin Lutheran Church in Hamlin, IA. She attended Audubon Community Schools where she graduated with the class of 1977. She then attended DMACC in Ankeny, IA where she graduated with her Associates Degree in Accounting. Linda started working at Landmands National Bank in August 1980 and worked there for 44 years until retiring due to her illness.

On February 28th, 1981, Linda was united in marriage to Mike Wede at the Hamlin Lutheran Church. They were blessed with three children Tyler, Angie, and Katelyn.
Linda was a proud member of the Gray Firebells and the Gray United Methodist Church. She spent most of her time cooking, gardening, reading, and socializing with her many friends. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her grandchildren who were the light of her life.

Linda was proceeded in death by her parents James and Gladys Jorgensen; her step-mother, Irene (Hansen) Jorgensen; her in laws, Ray and Audrey Wede and her siblings in-law RoseAnn Wede, Sheila Rudolph, and Mark Wede.

Survivors include husband Mike Wede of Audubon; Children Tyler (Katie Klever) Wede of Grimes, Angie (Steve) Agnew of Carroll, Katelyn (Lukas) Voss of West Des Moines; her beloved grandchildren: Grant and Brynne Agnew of Carroll, Calvin and Maren Wede of Grimes; her siblings Faye (Dean) Christensen of Omaha, Diane (Jerry) Hiatt of Council Bluffs, Mark (Pat) Jorgensen of Denison; her step siblings Roger (Rose) Hansen of St Joseph, Richard (Lyn) Hansen of Audubon; siblings in-law Sue Wede of Audubon, Lisa Powell of Audubon; along with nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and many friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the First United Methodist Church in Audubon, with Pastor Curt Copple officiating the service. Interment will take place following the funeral at Maple Grove Cemetery in Audubon. After the committal, a luncheon will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Parish Hall in Audubon.

Public visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2024, at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Audubon, IA.

Memorials may be directed to the Linda Wede Family, to be designated at a later date in memory of Linda. They may be mailed to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 201, Audubon, IA 50025.
