Margarete L. Pointer

Margarete L. Pointer, the daughter of Claude and Hazel (Dearing) Corzatt was born January 19, 1919, in Carlisle, Iowa, and passed away July 25, 2006, at the age of 87 at the Heritage House in Atlantic, Iowa.
Margarete graduated from Carlisle High School. She was united in marriage to Robert V. Pointer in 1943 and moved to Santa Ana, California, where she lived for 37 years. Margarete worked for the city of Santa Ana. Due to ill health she moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, in 1994 and then to Atlantic, Iowa, in 2003 where she resided at the Heritage House until her passing.
Preceding her in death were her husband Robert; daughter, Jeanette and her husband William Vermillion; her parents; and sister Virginia McCammon.
Margarete is survived by four grandchildren; sister Freida Waters of Atlantic; two brothers, Claude Corzatt Jr. of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Charles Corzatt and his wife of Vicenza, Italy; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Inurnment will be held at a later date in Carlisle, Iowa.
