Nancy Jo Bowman

Nancy Jo Lischka Bowman, age 77, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023, at Cass Health in Atlantic surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband, Larry; Daughter Teresa Madison of Akeley, Minnesota; Son David Bowman from San Antonio, Texas; six Grandchildren, Morgan, Mackenzie, Layney, Evan, Sydney, and Alec and sister, Maye Garrett from Reno, Nevada; Nieces, Michelle, Lori, JoDee, and Nephews Todd and Joe.
She was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Etta and Joe Lischka, and two sisters, Joyce Beauchamp and Mary Gigous.
Nancy was born December 7, 1945, in Berea, Iowa. She was valedictorian of her class at Atlantic High School and went on to attend Commerical Art School in Omaha, where she met Larry. They were married on October 2, 1965. Nancy was a beautiful fine artist, painter, and gardener. She loved collecting and selling antiques. Her family will always remember her over a cup of hot coffee and steaming homemade cinnamon rolls. We love you, Mom!!
Per Nancy's wishes, a cremation is to take place at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home, and a family interment will take place at Atlantic Cemetery.
