Ollivene Ruth Linn, the daughter of George Hobart and Minnie Laura (Rubel) Kelley, was born November 27, 1920, in Leroy Township, Audubon County, Iowa and died March 26, 2014, at the Friendship Home in Audubon, Iowa at the age of 93 years, 3 months, and 29 days. Ollivene was baptized and confirmed at the First United Methodist Church in Audubon, Iowa. She attended Audubon Community Schools graduating with the High School Class of 1939. On August 31, 1939, she was united in marriage to E. Stewart Linn in the Methodist Parsonage in Adel, Iowa. Three children: Larry, Keith, and Jackie were born to this union. They lived at the Memorial building and later moved to west Audubon. Ollivene was a homemaker and worked cleaning businesses and helping her mother cook at the Memorial building and the golf course. She moved to Atlantic, Iowa for a short time then moved to the Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn. In June of 2001, she moved to the Friendship Home in Audubon. Ollivene was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Audubon and enjoyed circle meetings many years ago. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Audubon. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, embroidering, and watching television. Ollivene was preceded in death by her husband Stewart Linn; her son Keith B. Linn; her parents; and her sister Betty Kelley. Survivors include her children: Larry G. and wife Barbara Linn of Atlantic, Iowa; Jacqueline K. and husband Donald Hembry of Glenwood, Iowa; her grandchildren: Kandy Sue and husband Jerry Hansen of DeRidder, Louisiana; Stewart A. Linn, Steven G. Linn, Spencer K. Linn, and Shane J. Linn all of Atlantic; Austin S. Hembry of Rapid City, South Dakota; and Garrett M. Hembry of Ames, Iowa; her great grandchildren: Jerry J. Hansen of Houston, Texas; Joseph J. and wife Stephanie Hansen of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and Dillon G. Linn of Atlantic; her niece Terri and husband Tom Hennig of Omaha, Nebraska; her nephew Randy Peatrowsky of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and her special family at the Friendship Home and friends.
