Patti Wilson

Patti Rose (Paige) Wilson, the daughter of William Daniel and Rose Joy (Pitkin) Paige, was born May 22, 1958 in Atlantic, Iowa and died January 20, 2026 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. She grew up in Atlantic, Iowa, swimming and riding horses every chance she had. She was on the swim team at a very young age and always played sports with the boys. She met Jeffry Wilson in January of 1976. They were married on September 25, 1976. They welcomed their first daughter, Jessica Lynn, on April 14, 1977. Her and Jeff moved from Atlantic to Exira in early 1978. They then welcomed another daughter, Stacey Nicole, on July 11, 1980. Her and Jeff lived in the country south of town where they had horses and a very large garden. Patti canned everything she grew and loved tending to her garden. They moved to Adair in the summer of 1985. They welcomed their last daughter, Kelsey Michelle on September 26, 1987. Patti worked lots of different jobs from meat packing to manufacturing and everything in between. She eventually attended AIB College of Business and graduated with an associates degree. She eventually ended up at Cardinal Glass in Greenfield, Iowa, where she retired. She spent her retirement gardening and canning, taking care of her flowers, and spending time with her grandkids. She ALWAYS had chocolate chip cookies on the counter. The grandkids LOVED her cookies.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her step-father; her grandparents; her brothers Richie and Danny Paige; her step-sister; and her nephews James and Jeffrey Paige. Survivors include her husband Jeff, her daughters Jessica (Matt) Wetzel of Guthrie Center, Iowa, Stacey (John) Mohr of Adair, Iowa, and Kelsey Wilson of Adair, Iowa. Her grandkids, Braeden, Hudsyn, Dayne and Cohbyn Hambleton, Eli Mohr, Oliver and Karlynn Wetzel, and Parker Wilson. Her sisters Jody Griswold of Antioch, California and Kathy Paige of Shelby, Iowa. Her step-brothers Tom Anderson of Oakland, Iowa and Richard M. Anderson of Hays, Kansas. Her nephews Jacob Paige of Kansas City and Joshua Anderson of Hancock, Iowa.
Nieces Lisa Paige of Boone, Iowa, Christina Hill and Jessy Lazear of Des Moines, Iowa and Tyna Anderson of Avoca, Iowa . And also great nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2025 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Exira with Mr. Raleigh Pitzer officiating.

Burial will follow at the Exira Cemetery in Exira.

The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral Home.
