Paul Irlmeier

April 5, 1968 — October 1, 2025

Guthrie Center

Paul Joseph Irlmeier, the son of Gary and Joyce (Sporrer) Irlmeier, was born April 5th,1968 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Carroll, Iowa. He died in his home in Guthrie on October 1st, 2025.

Paul was baptized at the Sacred Heart Church in Templeton, Iowa. In his youth, he was lovingly adopted by his mother Betty Klocke. He graduated from Audubon High School in 1986.

Paul started farming at his family’s home in Audubon and various locations at a very young age. Farming wasn’t just his job, it was his way of life. For decades, he could be found out in the fields or tending to his pigs, taking pride in the work that shaped who he was and what he loved most.

When the chores were done, Paul could often be found hunting or fishing, enjoying the peace of the outdoors. He never turned down the chance to play a card game or a trip to the casino, and his love of rock music was something that stayed with him all his life. Whether he was working, relaxing, or on the road, a Dr. Pepper was always his drink of choice.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Gary and Joyce Irlmeier; and his grandparents Leonard and Sabina Sporrer; Herbert Irlmeier and Bernice Irlmeier; Virgil and Mildred Heithoff.

Survivors include his children, Zachary and his wife Cassandra Cleveland of Bondurant, Iowa; Andrew and his wife Brenna Irlmeier of Elk Horn, Iowa; Amanda Irlmeier of Harlan, Iowa; his grandchildren, Briley Cleveland and Kaiden Cleveland; Malia Irlmeier and Blakely Irlmeier; his parents Tom and Betty Klocke; his brothers and sisters Brenda Klocke; Kurt Irlmeier; Todd Irlmeier and his wife Jodie; Angela Jensen and her husband Ryan; Jana Galbreath and her husband Ernie; Nic Klocke and his wife Jodi.
