Ray Duane Dreher was born at home on the farm in Audubon County, Iowa, to Mildred L. (Huffman) and Raymon L. Dreher on September 12, 1941. He passed away September 29, 2016, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, Iowa.

He worked at Emmert Manufacturing followed by various jobs including Audubon Ready Mix. He moved to Winnekah, Oklahoma, where, for on and off for six years, he worked on a ranch for Jerry White. Most recently he worked at Rose Acre farms in Guthrie Center, Iowa, and had his own welding shop.

On November 3, 1968, he married Nancy Milkert and together they had one son, Monte.

Ray was a good man who loved his family very much. He fought long and hard the last 15 years with his disease and went through many trials with it.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy of Hamlin, IA; his son, Monte and his wife, Julie, and their two daughters, Amanda and Tiffany; his mother, Mildred Huffman; and two sisters, Debra Murphy and Joann Christensen.

He was very loved and will be greatly missed.

There will be a time to visit at a luncheon in the church fellowship hall following the service.
