Robert Franklin Fry

     Robert Franklin Fry, the son of Harry Harold and Viola Lucille (Brensel) Fry, was born October 22, 1937, on his parent’s farm in rural Audubon County, Iowa and died October 9, 2022, at the Friendship Home in Audubon, Iowa at the age of 84 years, 11 months, and 17 days.

     Robert was one of seven children and grew up on the family farm. He attended rural school at Melville #9 then helped operate the family farm. Robert helped on the farm where they grew row crops and raised livestock until her retired. He lived with his siblings on the acreage for many years until his health began to fail. On December 3, 2004, Robert moved to the Friendship Home in Audubon, Iowa. He enjoyed participating in the many activities of his new home.

Robert had attended the First Presbyterian Church in Audubon. He always enjoyed spending time with his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents Harry H. Sr. and Viola Fry; and his sisters Nora Jean Bertelsen, Bernadine Fry, and Mary Fry.

     Survivors include his sister Donna Fry of Audubon, Iowa and his brothers Harry H, Fry, Jr. and wife Lois Jean of Sedalia, Missouri and Emerson Fry of Audubon, Iowa; his many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, other relatives and friends.

     The family will meet with friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon then proceed to the Maple Grove Cemetery. The graveside service will be conducted by Reverend Philip Beisswenger following the visitation at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Audubon, Iowa.
