Rolland Watkins

Rolland "Rollie" Watkins, 55, of Omaha, Nebraska, formerly of Anita, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at Nebraska Skilled Nursing Home in Omaha, Nebraska.

Rollie was born November 20, 1959, in Atlantic, Iowa, to Clyde A. and Marcella Mae (Little) Watkins. He grew up in Anita, Iowa, and attended school in Anita. Rollie moved to Omaha, Nebraska, in 2004.

He worked as a welder and fabricator for Paxton Vierling Steel and Modern Equipment Company. Rollie enjoyed music, art, motorcycles and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of The ARCH.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Katrina Christensen.

Rolland is survived by a son, Zach and his fiancé Lyssa Lank of Atlantic, Iowa; grandsons, Cameron and Dante of Atlantic, IA; sister, Cathy Hankemeier of Omaha, NE; brother, Rod Watkins of Omaha, NE; nieces, Ashley (Andy) Butler of Atlantic, IA and Stormy Schmitt of Atlantic, IA; and a nephew, Donavan Christensen of Atlantic, IA.

There will be a Celebration of Life visitation from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2015, at Hockenberry Family Care Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa. Immediately following the visitation, there will be a gathering at the Camblin Edition of Sunnyside Park in Atlantic, IA.
