Roycene Knudsen

Roycene Knudsen, the daughter of Philip and Ralene (Malone) Knudsen, was born December 3, 1984, in San Clemente, California and died November 6, 2021, at her home in Columbia, Missouri at the age of 36 years, 11 months, and 3 days.

When Roycene was young, her family moved to Audubon, Iowa for a short time before moving to Carroll, Iowa. She attended Carroll Community Schools and graduated from the Carroll High School. Roycene was employed at the Chinese Restaurant in Carroll for several years. She later moved to Columbia, Missouri and had been employed at the Golden Corral.

Roycene was very artistic and enjoyed doing craft projects and collecting angels.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Ralene Knudsen; her grandparents, Royce and Evelyn Malone, Arlene Walker, and Richard and Lorna Knudsen; her uncle, Ron Sullivan; and her cousin, Todd Mack.

Survivors include her children: Lucas Smith of Carroll, Iowa, Alex Sanchez, and Reyna Sanchez; her father, Philip Knudsen and significant other Carla Rogers both of Mission Viejo, California; her siblings: Nicholas Knudsen and Tori Franklin both of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Kyle Knudsen of Long Beach, California; her aunts and uncles: Kathy Mack of Hamlin, Iowa, Kip and wife Jenny Malone of Corning, Iowa, Lolita Malone and family of Audubon, David and wife Susie Knudsen of Kenai, Alaska, Lois Sullivan and Marcia and husband Rick Renew all of Mobile, Alabama, Linda and husband Gaius Ryan of Halifax, Canada, and Ruth and husband Steve Barnes of Atlanta, Georgia; her special friend, Mary Bernholtz of Carroll, Iowa; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 1:30 P.M. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon, Iowa with Pastor Steven Frock officiating. Inurnment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Audubon. The family will greet friends on Saturday afternoon from 12:30 P.M. until the time of the service at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon.
