Russell Robert Dennis

Russell (Russ) Robert Dennis, the son of Robert L. and Vera Elnora (Bald) Dennis, was born December 14, 1947, in Exira, Iowa and died April 14, 2023, at the Exira Care Center at the age of 75 years and 4 months.

Russ attended Exira Community Schools and graduated from the Exira High School. Following graduation, he was employed at Henningsen Construction for a number of years. He then worked for Cass County as a Maintainer Operator until he retired.

Preceding him in death are his parents and a brother Randy Dennis.

Survivors include his children Sheri and husband Keith Wede of Round Rock, Texas, Staci and husband Chris Johnson of Camden, Missouri, Sarah Dennis of Avoca, Iowa, and Brett Dennis of Omaha, Nebraska; his grandchildren Maison and wife Whitney Weiss of Austin, Texas, Makayla and husband Dontae Powell of Jarrell, Texas, Gracee Wede of Austin, Texas, Charlee Wede and Addilyne Weiss of Round Rock, Texas, Hank Johnson of Austin, Texas, Sarah Johnson of Lincoln, Nebraska, Maggie and Lili Johnson of Camden, Missouri, Maycee Shaner and Cash Kaiser of Avoca, Iowa, Mehki and Paxton Dennis of Omaha, Nebraska; three great-grandchildren Baker Faaborg of Round Rock, Texas, Waylon McCoy of Avoca, Iowa, Blakelee of Jarrell, Texas; brothers Ron and wife Christine Dennis of Bremerton, Washington, Roger and wife Meleaia Dennis of Aurora, Colorado, Rod and wife Christy Dennis of Waukee, Iowa; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
