Sharon was united in marriage to Roger Rooker and to this union two children were born, Robyn and Bill. They later divorced, then on December 31, 1991, she was united in marriage to Galen Scholl in Anita.

In her younger years she did clerical work at the Wapello County Courthouse in Ottumwa and was an advertising designer for the Wapello County Shopper. After making her home in Anita, she worked several years at the Boy Scouts of America in Omaha, Nebraska, as an administrative assistant to the CEO. Before retiring, she worked a few years at Anita Printing.

Sharon was a very devoted softball player when she was in school and taught Robyn how to pitch. She loved watching her grandson sing and play sports, especially baseball. She was extremely proud of his baseball accomplishments and had his name and college baseball number on her license plates. She always attended the activities of her children and her grandson and looked forward to shopping trips with her daughter.

Sharon was full of life and loved to work in her beautiful flower gardens. She was a very caring and giving person and a very accomplished seamstress. She combined those traits over the years and made hundreds of teddy bears for an orphanage in Mexico where she delivered them yearly. Sharon loved to camp and she and Galen spent winters in McAllen, Texas, for many years. They valued all the friends they made there. They also appreciated their Friday morning coffee group in and around Anita with all the local snowbird friends. Sharon had been a lover of dogs her entire life.
