Susan Lanier

Susan Jane Lanier, 70, of Atlantic, Iowa, and formerly of Anita, Iowa, passed away Monday, December 25, 2017, at the Heritage House in Atlantic, Iowa.

Susan was born on July 22, 1947, to Robert and Helen Genevieve (Dement) Lanier in Lake Charles, LA. She lived in Metairie, LA, for 10 years at which time, she then moved with her family to Anita, IA in 1970. In 2005, she moved to Atlantic. In 2009, Susan became a resident of the Heritage House.

She worked at Cass Inc. and also at Burger King in Atlantic. Susan loved to listen to operas and musicals. Susan was also a football and baseball fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kelley Lanier.

Susan is survived by a sister-in-law, Sue Lanier of Metairie, LA; a niece, Jennifer (Tim) Cline of Granite Falls, NC; a grand-nephew, Joshua Cline of Granite Falls, NC; 2 cousins, David (Marilyn) Miller of Des Moines, IA and Tim (Pam) Miller of Anita, IA.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 29, 2017, at Evergreen Cemetery in Anita, Iowa.
