Theodore LeRoy Hall, the son of Richard Theodore and Connie Colleen (Titus) Hall, was born August 4, 1962, in Brush, Colorado and died January 1, 2022, at his home in rural Audubon County, Iowa at the age of 59 years, 4 months, and 27 days.
Ted was baptized as an infant. He attended school in Guthrie Center, Iowa and Audubon, Iowa, later receiving his GED in Maryville, Missouri. Ted was an over-the-road truck driver hauling gasoline and diesel fuel.
On September 21, 1988, he was united in marriage to Patricia Bradley in Oregon, Missouri. They were blessed with one daughter, Heather. They lived in Missouri for many years while Ted drove truck. They then moved to the Audubon area in 2005. Ted continued to drive over-the-road until he was involved in an accident in which he was severely injured and ended his driving career. Since that time he has spent his time with Heather caring for their horses, acreage, and the many dogs they adopted. Ted’s favorite was a Pomeranian they named Pinkie. Pink was Ted’s constant companion. She was with Ted day and night. Unfortunately, Pink died in March of 2021.
Ted was a life member of the NRA. He liked to camp and he spent many years vacationing with his family in Yankton, South Dakota. Being an over-the-road trucker, he visited all the states except for Maine and Hawaii. In 2013 Ted, Heather, and Pink went on vacation to Maine so he had visited all the states except for Hawaii. Ted never went to Hawaii because as he said “I don’t fly and I don’t float”. He enjoyed fishing and reading Louie L’Amour western novels. Ted was an avid John Wayne fan and had a large collection of memorabilia. But most of all he enjoyed watching his daughter participate in her many activities.
Preceding him in death was Heather’s mother Patricia Hall; his parents; his brother Rick Hall; and his sister Dixie Worshek.
Survivors include his daughter Heather Hall of Audubon, Iowa; his brother Ronald “Pete” Hall of Corning, Missouri; and his sister Monica Hall of Guthrie Center, Iowa, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Following cremation a private Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be located in a place yet to be determined.
