Dean Weber

Mr. William Dean Weber, age 90, of Audubon, IA, passed away at his home in Audubon on Friday, May 30, 2025.

William Dean Weber was born in Audubon County on June 26, 1934, a son to Willam and Freda (Jensen) Weber. Dean was baptized at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Audubon, Iowa. He attended rural schools, graduating from Audubon High School. On December 19, 1953, he was united in marriage to Charlotte L. Jensen. Five children were born into this union: Dennis, Denise, Lori, Lana, and Diane. Together, they owned and operated a grain and livestock farm in Lincoln Township until they retired from farming in 2003. They lived on the farm until they moved to their present home in Audubon in 2005.

Dean was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. As the Rock of the family, he was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-grandfather. He loved to play golf and keep up with his woodworking projects. Dean was a kind man and a loyal friend to many. Dean, your presence in our lives was the greatest gift we could ever receive.

Preceding Dean in death include his wife, Charlotte; daughter, Denise Blocker and her husband, Robin; his granddaughter, Desiree Wanninger; his son-in-law, Jim Ingeman; his parents, William and Freda (Jensen) Weber; parents-in-law, Richard and Vanda (Larsen) Jensen; siblings, Norma and husband Roland Adams, Marjorie and husband LeRoy Johansen, George and wife Irma Weber, and Leland Weber; brother-in-law, Delbert and Elizabeth Jensen.

Survivors include his children, Dennis (Kathy) Weber, Lori Ingeman, Lana (Rick) Wanninger, and Diane (Johann) Hausfelder; grandchildren, Matt (Erika) Weber and their children Lucy and Ruby; Nate (Miki) Weber and their children, Garrett and Alexis; Scott (Danielle) Weber and their children, Jaydn and Mya; Colin (Claire) Weber and their son Thomas; Kristina (Brian) Mayer and their children, Cameron and Calvin; Brian (Jamie) Wallace and their children, Bronwyn and Reed; Amy (Brian) Elkins and their children, Hunter and Brock; Brian (Connie) Blocker; Sara (Mitch) Anderson and their children Piper and Parker; Dustin Ingeman; Molly (Mitch) Holtzman; Desiree Wanninger; Nicole (Pat) Denonville and their children Payton, Parker, and Paxton; Stacey Wanninger; Heather Wanninger; Derek (fiancé Danielle) Irlmeier and their children Kaylee, Arya, Callen; Andrew (Katie) Irlmeier and their children Rosanna and Clare; Adam (Brittany) Hausfelder and their son Bennett; sister-in-law, Janet Weber; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and great friends.


A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Audubon, IA, with Rev. Sean Dougherty officiating. Following the funeral, interment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Audubon. A luncheon will be held following the committal in the church's Fellowship Hall.

Public visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Audubon.
